| dc.description.abstract | The aquatic Hyphomycetes represents a set of microscopic fungi that are found in the lotic systems and are responsible for degrading and modifying the plant material that falls into the water, thus facilitating it to be used by other arganism present. These fungi produced spores called conidia, far which they are identified, presenting conidia in different ways, mostly tetraradiated, sigmoid, fusiform, coiled and spherical. The objective of the research is to contribute to the knowledge of the diversity of aquatic Hifomycetos in the leaf litter submerged in the David River, in the province of Chiriqui, Panama. Samples were collected at three points in the river: upper basin, middle basin and lower basin. The samples were transferred ta the laboratory and using the technique of scraping, centrifugation and concentration were analyzed bpy light microscopy. The taxonomic codes of Ingold. Santos & Betancourt were used for identification. In addition, the biodiversity index of dominance of Simpson, Shannon & Wiener, Margalef and Sorensen were calculated. As a result, a total diversity of aquatic Hyphomycetes was obtained with 23 species distributed in 17 genera. The genera that predominated were Campylospora; Clavariopsis and Scorpiosporium. A diversity of medium and high was recorded in the sampling areas. It is concluded that the diversity found shows that there is an acceptable environmental quality in the lotic system because aquatic Hlyphomycetes are considered bioindicators of purity in said ecosystem. | es_ES |
