La salud es uno de los derechos fundamentales del ser humano sin distinción de raza, credo, ideas políticas, condición social o económica. De modo que el disfrute pleno del derecho a la salud es crítico para el disfrute de otros derechos humanos. Así, la buena salud es un fin en sí mismo y juega un papel integral en las capacidades humanas y el bienestar.
