dc.description.abstractThe analysis of the service in the care centers for the elderly was developed through two phases: evaluation of the current situation of the service and improvement of the service processes. The first phase stands out for presenting a comparative evaluation of Panama versus certain countries in the world in terms of their level of service in the care of the elderly. In the second phase, service engineering was used as a key tool to identify and propose a plan to improve the level of service offered in care centers for the elderly. Finally, this research proposes a change that implies optimizing the level of service and thus improving the image of these centers. Thus, making an important social contribution that can be projected to other nursing homes in the rest of the country.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl análisis del servicio en los centros de cuidados del adulto mayor se desarrolló a través de dos fases: evaluación de la situación actual del servicio y mejoras de los procesos del servicio. La primera fase presenta una evaluación comparativa de Panamá versus ciertos países en el mundo en cuanto a su nivel de servicio en el cuidado del adulto mayor. En la segunda fase, se utilizó la ingeniería de servicios como herramienta clave para identificar y proponer un plan de mejoras en el nivel de servicio ofrecido en los centros de cuidado del adulto mayor. Finalmente, esta investigación propone un cambio que implique optimizar el nivel de servicio y así mejorar la imagen que se tiene de estos centros. Con este estudio se realiza un aporte social importante que se puede proyectar a otros hogares de ancianos en el resto del país.
