| dc.description.abstract | Statistically, errors within the clinical laboratory are more frequent during the pre analytical phase, which corresponds to all the steps that must be followed in chronological order until starting the analytical procedure in the clinical laboratory. It represents a critical point of the analysis due to the impact it generates in the confidence of the results and consequently in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The objective of this research is to evaluate the most common preanalytical errors in the clinical laboratory of the Rafael Hernández Regional Hospital in the city of David, July-September 2022. The methodological design used was descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental. Preanalytical errors were identified through a data collection instrument. To determine the level of analytical performance, the data was contrasted with the IFCC and 6 Sigma International Standards, the Excel program was extracted to generate graphs and tables. In the period between July and September 2022, 228 samples were included where we obtained as results that the most common pre-analytical errors were sample identification, hemolysis and coagulation with 90% corresponding to the Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Parasitology sections. ; being the afternoon and night shifts the ones with the highest number of errors (60%), finally the services with the highest frequency of errors correspond to medicine with 66%. These data will facilitate the execution of preventive measures, and evaluation of the level of performance of the clinical laboratory. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Estadísticamente los errores dentro del laboratorio clínico son más frecuentes durante la fase preanalítica, la cual corresponde a todos los pasos que deben seguirse en orden cronológico hasta iniciar el procedimiento analítico en el laboratorio clínico. Representa un punto crítico del análisis por el impacto que genera en la fiabilidad de los resultados y por consiguiente en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de las enfermedades. El objetivo de esta investigación es evaluar los errores preanalíticos más comunes en el laboratorio clínico del Hospital regional Rafael Hernández en la ciudad de David julio- septiembre 2022. El diseño metodológico empleado fue de tipo descriptivo, transversal no experimental. Los errores preanalíticos fueron identificados a través de un instrumento de recolección de datos. Para determinar el nivel de desempeño analítico, los datos se contrastaron con los Estándares Internacionales IFCC y 6 Sigma, se utilizó el programa Excel para generar gráficos y tablas. En el periodo comprendido de julio a septiembre 2022, se incluyeron 228 muestras donde obtuvimos como resultados que los errores preanalíticos más comunes fueron identificación de la muestra, hemolisis y coagulación con un 90% correspondiente a las secciones de Hematología, Química, Urinalisis y Parasitología; siendo los turnos de tarde y noche los que presentan mayor número de errores (60%), finalmente los servicios con mayor frecuencia de errores corresponde a medicina con un 66%. Estos datos facilitaran la ejecución de medidas preventivas, y evaluación del nivel de desempeño del laboraotrio clínico. | |
