The main objective of this research was to analyze the graduation profile and the relevance of the professional practice for the acquisition of competences in students of the Tourism Degree in the Faculty of Humanities. To achieve this objective it was necessary to apply a methodology based on the mixed approach, taking into account a descriptive, exploratory, transversal and non-experimental research. The informant subjects were both students of the Tourism career with an emphasis on Hospitality and graduate students as well as teachers and employers who at the time have captured students of the career to perform the option of professional practice in their respective companies. The study could determine the existence of an irrelevant relationship between the profile of the graduate and the demands of the hotel labor market: as well as a dissociation with the skills and abilities that students must carry when performing professional practice. As a core part of the work was considered as an alternative solution to the problem found favoring the use of classroom laboratories being this a methodological alternative to enrich the teachinglearning process and strengthen the skills and abilities of future graduates of the Bachelor of Truism.
