The increase in the world population demands an increase in food production, which in turn requires the need to opt for new production technologies that allow the cultivation of healthy and safe food. In this sense, plant factories with artificial light are turning out to be a great opportunity for the cultivation of vegetables and fruits in urban areas, since they offer great benefits compared to other traditional cultivation techniques, however the issues of economic evaluation on these systems have not been sufficiently addressed, which is why it is considered a limitation that often prevents producers and entrepreneurs from opting for these new and innovative production alternatives.El aumento de la población a nivel mundial, demanda un aumento en la producción de alimentos, que a su vez requiere la necesidad de optar por nuevas tecnologías de producción, que permitan cultivar alimentos sanos y seguros.
