| dc.description.abstract | Addressing people who suffer an accident or who suddenly lose their health for
various reasons often becomes a challenge for the responder, which is why the firefighter
personnel at station number 1 have been taken into account. the regional area of Chiriquí
to carry out this study in first aid; knowing that on countless occasions this is the institution
in charge of helping and initiating maneuvers and procedures that safeguard the lives of
people who have an imbalance in their perfect physiological state resulting from
unforeseen factors.
First aid is a set of limited and temporary maneuvers and techniques that are
provided to a person who is suddenly losing health. These require skills and knowledge
that allow the practitioner to develop a good procedure in caring for victims, which is why
the objective of this work "Analyze the level of knowledge in first aid of the Extinction,
Search and Rescue personnel of the Benemérito Fire Department of the Republic of
Panama, Chiriquí regional zone, District of David, April 2023" this work is an investigation
of descriptive, quantitative field in which the knowledge in first aid that the firefighters of
the search and rescue extinction department of station number 1 of the Chiriquí regional
zone have will be studied, their theoretical knowledge will be evaluated through
questionnaires with dichotomous answers of SI and NO, whose general objective is to
analyze the level of knowledge in first aid of the Extinction, Search and Rescue personnel
of the Benemérito Fire Department of the Chiriquí Regional Zone. After analyzing the
results, it is concluded that not everyone has the necessary knowledge in first aid, since
there is a deficiency in areas such as: CPR, control of bleeding and burns. Although 96%
of firefighters said they know first aid, 28% do not have a first aid course.
On the other hand, it is observed that 60% of the firefighters surveyed do not know
how to recognize life-threatening hemorrhages; however, 100% of the firefighters have
the knowledge to perform spinal immobilization. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | El abordaje de personas que sufren accidente o que pierden súbitamente la salud por
diversas razones, muchas veces, se convierte en un reto para el respondiente o
respondedor, es por esta razón que se ha toma en cuenta al personal bomberil de la
estación número 1 de la zona regional de Chiriquí para realizar este estudio en primeros
auxilios; teniendo de conocimiento que en innumerables ocasiones es esta la institución
encargada de socorrer e iniciar maniobras y procedimientos que salvaguardan la vida de
personas que tienen un desequilibrio en su perfecto estado fisiológico consecuente a
factores no previstos.
Los primeros auxilios es un conjunto de maniobras y técnicas limitadas y temporales que
se le brindan a una persona que está perdiendo súbitamente la salud, estos requieren
habilidades y conocimientos que permitan al practicante desarrollar un buen
procedimiento en la atención de víctimas, por eso el objetivo de este trabajo “Analizar el
nivel de conocimiento en primeros auxilios del personal de Extinción, Búsqueda y
Rescate del Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de la República de Panamá, Zona regional
Chiriquí, Distrito de David, abril 2023” este trabajo se trata de una investigación de campo
de tipo descriptiva, cuantitativa en la cual se estudiarán los conocimientos en primeros
auxilios que tienen los bomberos del departamento de extinción búsqueda y rescate de
la estación número 1 de la zona regional Chiriquí, se evaluarán sus conocimientos
teóricos mediante cuestionarios de respuestas dicotómicas de SI y NO, los cuales tienen
como objetivo general Analizar el nivel de conocimiento en primeros auxilios del personal
de Extinción, Búsqueda y Rescate del Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de la Zona Regional Chiriquí. Luego del análisis de los resultados se llega a la conclusión que, no
todos cuentan con los conocimientos necesarios en primeros auxilios, pues existe una
deficiencia en zonas como: RCP, control de las hemorragias y quemaduras. A pesar que
el 96% de los bomberos dijeron que saben primeros auxilios el 28% no cuentan con un
curso de primeros auxilios.
Por otra parte, se observa que, el 60% de los bomberos encuestados no saben reconocer
las hemorragias que ponen en riesgo la vida, sin embargo, el 100% de los bomberos
cuentan con los conocimientos para hacer una inmovilización vertebral.
Se le recomienda al Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de la República de Panamá
realizar más capacitaciones en primeros auxilios para el personal. | es_Es |
