| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this article is to highlight the groundwater concentrations in the regions of Panama, and to present the volumes of water extracted from wells used for purification in the provinces of Panama. Conflicts over water resources have increased in recent years; because of population growth, economic development, and climate change. Groundwater is used as a palliative to supply the population. Statistical records and reports from the National Aqueduct and Sewer Institute, and from Electric Transmission Corporation, served to reveal the results and spatial interpretation in the National Geographic Atlas and the Environmental Atlas of Panama. The results present concentrations of groundwater sources located in the Central and Western regions of the country and Coclé and Western side Panama predominate with 40%, for drinking human consumptionand for irrigation. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Este artículo tiene el propósito resaltar las concentraciones de agua subterráneas en las regiones de Panamá, y presentar los volúmenes de agua extraída de los pozos utilizada para la potabilización en las provincias de Panamá. Los conflictos por los recursos hídricos han ido aumentados en los últimos años; a causa del crecimiento poblacional, el desarrollo económico, y el cambio climático. Las aguas subterráneas, son utilizadas como paliativo para abastecer a la población. Los registros estadísticos y los informes del Instituto de Acueductos y Alcantarillados Nacionales, y de la Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica, S.A., sirvió para revelar los resultados y la interpretación espacial en el Atlas Nacional Geográfico y el Atlas Ambiental de Panamá. Los resultados presentan concentraciones de las fuentes de aguas subterráneas localizados en las regiones Central y Occidental del país y predominan Coclé y Panamá Oeste con un 40%, para el consumo humano potable y para el riego. | |
