dc.description.abstract	The province of Chiriquí is one of the main production centers, being attributed the first place in 52 primary activities of 81 identified throughout the national territory. The objective of this research is to determine the number of full-time equivalent jobs (FTEJ) in the primary sector of the province of Chiriquí before, during and after the outbreak of the health pandemic. The methodology is based on input-output tables, which allow estimating the FTEJ/million dollars for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The results show that the FTEJ/million dollars of the province of Chiriquí exceed 40 thousand in 2019, representing 19% of the total of the country and placing in the first position, while, despite falling in 2020 in more than 8 thousand places, they maintain the first place in the country; recovering almost all FTEJ in 2021.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La provincia de Chiriquí es uno de los principales centros de producción, al atribuirse el primer lugar en 52 actividades primarias de 81 identificadas en todo el territorio nacional. El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar el número de empleos equivalentes a tiempo completo (EETC) en el sector primario de la provincia de Chiriquí antes, durante y posterior a la irrupción de la pandemia sanitaria. La metodología es basada en las tablas input-output, que permiten estimar los EETC/millón de dólares de los años 2019, 2020 y 2021. Los resultados evidencian que los EETC/millón de dólares de la provincia de Chiriquí superan los 39 mil en el 2019, representando 19% del total del país y ubicándose en la primera posición, mientras que, a pesar de caer en el 2020 en más de 8 mil plazas, mantienen el primer lugar en el país; recuperando casi en su totalidad los EETC en el 2021.
