Resumen
At present the traffic accidents in the province of Chiriqui have become a
social problem since they increase exponentially every year, leaving big
consequences in the population so this research was carried out to document
this problem.
This research is of a documentary type, with a quantitative approach, framed
in a descriptive research, and has as objective to analyze statistically attentions
in traffic accidents by the service of prehospital medical care of rescue
(SAMER) of the meritorius Corps of Firefighters of Panama in DavidChiriqui
from January-December 2020, Analyzing statistical data to identify the main
causes, types of injuries that cause transit accidents, and to provide
recommendations for improvements to the Prehospital Rescue Medical Care
Service
After the statistical analysis, it was concluded that, with regard to the delivery
of the service in David, 264 cases were treated, of which 159 were male, 105
female were transferred to a medical center 129 and 135 were not transferred.
The most frequent traffic incidents were collisions, followed by overturns,
trampling and collisions.
