dc.description.abstractThis present study is titled Metacognitive factors and their influence on academic performance in Nursing Degree students, CRUBO, University of Panama, 2021. Its objective is to analyze the metacognitive factors that influence students ' academic performance belonging to the Nursing College, Regional University Center of Bocas del Toro The approach of this study is quantitative because it regards previous research concerning the given topic, thus being a quantitative study with such profile where the data collection was based on the measurement of the variables or on the concepts contained in the hypothesis. Their results will be displayed through statistics and percentages after applying a survey for students and one for professors. This instrument was previously tested for reliability by experts. The scope of the study is descriptive/correlational It is Descriptive since it aims to specify the properties, characteristics and profiles of people, groups, communities, processes, objects or any other phenomenon hat is rendered to analysis during the emergence of the study between metacognitive factors and the academic performance of Sophomore and Senior Nursing students at CRUBO, University of Panama. It is correlational in scope since the two variables are associated assessing the relationship applied, in which the respondent indicated their agreement or disagreement, which is done through This research involves 76 students, to whom a Likert Scale psychometrie instrument was an ordered and unidimensional scale. The results have shown that the metacognitive factors, motivation, responsibility and interaction are those that contribute to their academic performance in nursing. tudents; while stress is the indicator that affects the academic performance of nursing students on a larger scale. The results and analysis of this research lead us to develop a tutorial program to strengthen the metacognitive skills of sophomore, junior and senior students who likewise demonstrate deficient academic performance of the Nursing.en_US
