dc.description.abstract | General objective: Analyze the pathologies treated and transferred by the Single Emergency
Management System 9-1-1 at the Bugaba launch site between May-June 2018.
Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective study. The measurement
was carried out by means of a data collection form made up of six sections. The sample was
calculated using the finite population formula and consisted of N = 135 persons. Data processing
was carried out according to the pathologies most frequently treated, and the statistical program
Epi InfoTM version 7.2.0.1 was used.
Results: The pathology mainly attended and transferred is that corresponding to non-specific
problems or sick person. The 57.77% of the patients were male. Of the users, 29.62% were
between 18 and 30 years of age, the main reason for prehospital care was under the code of sick
person 27.40%. The most common pathologic antecedent found was arterial hypertension, with
23.70%, followed by with heart disease 8.88%. The main symptom was pain with 39.25% and
76.30% were transferred to a hospital center for definitive medical attention.
Conclusions: The main reason for prehospital care was under the code of sick person, or
non-specific problem (27.40%), followed closely by respiratory problems with 15.55%.
Recommendations: Take this research as a basis for conducting similar studies in other
geographical areas, with the aim of improving care by paramedical personnel and contributing to
the well-being of users. | es_ES |
