Fluidez verbal del idioma inglés: necesidad latente en el Turismo.
Abstract
The research paper “Associated factors to the English fluency level of students from the BA in tourism from Universidad Autonoma de Chiriqui”, seeks to determine the reasons why the students of this career after studying English for eight semesters show a low fluency level of speaking, taking into account that the basic-intermediate English domain is essential in this professional field. This research develops a combined approach. It measures phenomena, using countable and measurable data through a statistics system.It focuses on a descriptive scope. The answers obtained, clearly shows the necessity to interacorally in English language in order to develop the lexicon and oral skills by the tourism students. Full English classes are proposed, applying methodologies that facilitate the development of the communicative-linguistic competence in the classroom as well as out of it, with a minimum percentage of Spanish in class; and thus, students will be exposed to the practice of the English language. Also,mandatory English courses or seminaries in summer time to students from this Bachelor, in order to increase, reinforce and practice of the language, which will be essential in its professional field.
