Abstract
This present study
is titled Metacognitive factors and their influence on academic
performance in Nursing Degree
students, CRUBO, University of Panama, 2021. Its objective
is to analyze the metacognitive factors that influence students ' academic performance belonging
to the Nursing College, Regional University Center of Bocas del Toro
The approach of this study is quantitative because it regards previous research concerning
the given topic, thus being a quantitative study with such profile where the data collection was
based on the measurement of the variables or on the concepts contained in the hypothesis. Their
results will be displayed through statistics and percentages after applying a survey for students and
one for professors. This instrument was previously tested for reliability by experts. The scope of
the study is descriptive/correlational
It is Descriptive since it aims to specify the properties, characteristics and profiles of
people, groups, communities, processes, objects or any other phenomenon hat is rendered to
analysis during the emergence of the study

It is correlational in scope since the two variables are associated assessing the relationship

The results have shown that the metacognitive factors, motivation, responsibility and
interaction are those that contribute to their academic performance in nursing.
